To have a successful school visit you need enthusiastic pupils with lots of questions, welcoming staff and above all someone who helps organise an event, well Ranvilles Junior School in Fareham had all of these and more. So thanks to teaching assistant Vicky for going that extra mile to help make this trip so enjoyable, in the lead up to my visit she provided the pupils with video clips of Skydancing Hen Harriers and Peregrines stooping, dissecting owl pellets and card board cut out barn owls. Turner Prize winner meets Skydancer
Hen Harrier Day 2015. Well I did my bit by spreading the word via Skydancer and I was truly humbled by the support I received and really proud I took the plunge to write a book about their plight. An inspiring event hosted by Dr Mark Avery, guest speakers included Chris Packam and contemporary artist Jeremy Deller, the 2004 Turner Prize winner and the creator of the mural of a hen harrier clasping a blood red Range Rover in its talons.
